David Langer is the founding partner at Lionheart Ventures, a pre-seed and seed-stage venture capital firm investing in the wise development of transformative technologies.
Previously, David was an angel investor in 20+ companies with TVPI >15x and founder & CEO of Zesty, a healthy corporate catering company whose mission is to improve the health of humanity. Zesty served 7+ million meals and raised $20M+ from investors including Index Ventures, Founders Fund and Y Combinator before being acquired by Square in 2018.
David’s entrepreneurial career began in 2005 as co-founder & CEO of GroupSpaces, a London-based SaaS company targeting membership groups backed by investors including Index Ventures, Lowercase Capital and Avonmore Developments. In 2010, David was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts for Services to Entrepreneurship.
Personally, David is passionate about developing a strong mind and body. He is a certified hatha and yin yoga teacher, experienced Vipassana meditator and regular attendee of Burning Man. He is also a hobbyist powerlifter, and previously competed at CrossFit, triathlon and was an English national table tennis champion as a child. He has appeared on TV game shows in England including ITV's The Krypton Factor, Channel 4's Countdown and Channel 5's Brainteaser.
David studied Mathematics at St Anne's College, Oxford where he was awarded 2nd place in the UK Graduate of the Year competition.
